Human Rights and Violence. Ways of Co-Understanding. “Round Table” in Khmelnitsky


On September 22, 2015 Ukrainian Institute of Research of Extremism within events for dialogue and co-understanding promotion held a “round table” in Khmelnitsky Regional Universal Scientific Library named Nikolai Ostrovsky.


The event was attended by representatives of law enforcement agencies, Bohdan Khmelnytsky National Academy of Border Troops of Ukraine, Department of Social Protection,  Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sport Management Khmelnytsky Oblast State Administration, representatives of the State Migration Service, representatives of educational institutions and public organizations of the region.

Participants discussed the issues and problems concerning internally displaced persons in Ukraine. Especially, their political rights and social assistance, problem of asylees in EU.

Galina Gerega,  Head of the NGO ” Ukrainian Research Institute extremism” emphasised, that on the way toward  European Union, development of law, adoption of democratic traditions in the Ukrainian society, we have to consolidate in public opinion, in the political culture and in the minds of every Ukrainian values ​​of humanity, justice and equality of all citizens. They have to become fairway of  social life of every person.”

Participants of the “round table” agreed on the fact that the traditions of humanity, which are common Ukrainian do not correspond to the reality, which exist in our state.
